The Coastal Current Office in The City of Portofino, California

About The Coastal Current…
The official newspaper of Portofino. I was reached out to by the editor in chief to ask about making a permanent design for the office, that won’t need to be completely changed out each time someone new comes into the position. I was so excited after getting the brief of what she was looking for, and I finished it within the day!
The building was huge with two stories to work with, so I made use of glass panes to divide the space and make two extra rooms – one for a staff meeting room, and the other for a little upstairs break room. I made collages for the office using pictures I found of old California-based newspapers. I kept the colors to match the logo and the “wave” theme. I went with Cali-inspired wood colors, and modern lines. I’ve been really enjoying working with orange lately, so this was a LOT of fun to do.
This location includes:
– A reception area with signs for grabbing any needed forms.
– A meeting room with snacks and coffee for staff members.
– A seating and chatting area on the main floor.
– Seven total work desk in the upstairs area, ready to be customized by staff members who claim each desk.
– A break room with interactive food and drink options.
