Interior: Luxury Cottage Kitchen
Client Request: I was asked if it was possible to do farmhouse, but with smoother lines and a minimalist look. Farmhouse can often look cluttered due to the patina and age on items, and modern farmhouse requires a certain level of clutter to meet the requirements of the design style.
I decided to go with kitchen cabinets that have very modern shapes, with a more glamorous aesthetic – the Dust Bunny kitchen was perfect for this. A white base allowed us to paint the base cabinets a lovely pale duck egg color. A combination of neutral items, plus vintage kitchenware fill many of the cabinets. A backsplash of vertical shiplap ties it together.
