Hey there, I’m Cassidy—the heart and soul behind Deerfield Design.
Living with advanced muscular dystrophy meant giving up my dream of working in interior design in the physical world. But Second Life gave me something even more powerful: a way to bring that dream to life. Here, I build immersive, nostalgic spaces that feel as real and comforting as the places we remember from our everyday lives—corner shops, old bookstores, cafés, movie rental stores, and cozy homes.
For me, creating in Second Life isn’t just a hobby—it’s freedom. It’s connection. It’s a way to revisit the parts of the world that feel out of reach in real life. Each build is a love letter to the places that shaped me, and a gift to others who find a sense of belonging in them too.
I work from a kiddo avatar, which adds a unique, heartfelt perspective to everything I do. I’m also a practicing pagan witch living in Canada with my wife and two cats—my real-life and Second Life families are one and the same. Through Deerfield, I pour my heart into every detail, hoping to offer spaces that feel lived-in, real, and full of possibility.
I build because I need to. Because the world outside isn’t always made for people like me—but here, I can shape it with my own hands. I recreate the stores, streets, and spaces that remind us where we come from, and let others find their own stories inside them.
