RP Post: A Beachy Unicorn

The beach was big and bright, with the sky all blue except for a few little clouds drifting by like sleepy ships. Cassidy stood at the edge of the sand where the waves curled in, her silver and white unicorn innertube snug around her waist. The unicorn had a shiny horn and a friendly face, like it was ready to help her find adventures.
She wanted to go in so bad. The water looked soft and sparkly, and she wondered if maybe a real seahorse was out there waiting to say hello. But Uncle Kiel said she had to wait for him so he could hold her hand when the waves got taller. She didn’t mind too much, even if waiting felt longer than forever.
Dry sand stuck to her toes in scratchy little grains, and she wiggled her feet until she found wet sand instead. That felt cooler, not so itchy. She looked out at the bright ocean and took a deep breath.
Maybe if she was very brave, and very patient, she would go out so far she could meet a seahorse after all.
