Interior: Power, Poise, and a Touch of Pink

She was ready to start a new chapter—working from home, building something steady, something powerful, something hers. But the space she had? It didn’t speak to that vision. It was plain, forgettable. And she was anything but.
When she brought me in, she made one thing clear: she wanted it feminine, but not girly. Not all blush and script fonts. No, she wanted womanly feminine—rich, strong, a space that breathed ambition and elegance at the same time.
We started with structure. Modern iron shelving in matte black gave the room an anchor—bold and clean. We painted the cabinets a deep wine tone with magenta undertones. It was unexpected and lush, the kind of color that draws you in the longer you look at it. Below that, a second row of cabinets brought in retro charm, topped with square-tiled counters for texture and a little nostalgia.
On those shelves, we added weight: gold-toned accents, black-framed bookends, a collection of her favorite reads and curiosities—pieces that felt personal and powerful. Below the desk area, a Persian rug in black, ivory, hot pink, and maroon pulled the entire palette together. It was the wild card, the piece that didn’t make sense—until it absolutely did.
Her desk was lucite, clean and clear, giving the space air and light. A sleek black rolling chair kept things grounded, while a single gold vase holding fresh pink carnations offered just the right note of softness. Nothing fussy. Just enough.
Above it all, a vintage chandelier with upturned golden bulbs cast a warm, buttery light. Soft accent chairs with gold legs were tucked in throughout the room, made cozier with satin throw pillows in subtle gold. Each detail chosen not to impress, but to empower.
This space didn’t whisper “girl boss.”
It said, firmly and clearly: She’s here, and she’s just getting started.
